I'm hoping that someone can help with more information on anything I'm about to add.
I have all sorts of bits of information on my grandad Captain Donovan Edward Lafford of the Royal Artillery, No.229724
and it is bits! -photos, papers, a badge, letters and other stuff. I've found a few different references to regiments and different places that came from letters my grandad sent to my gran so here goes:
    1939
    No.1 Section 252 A.A. RA TA
    1940
252 HAA Clapham Common. 252/80 HAA Rgt. RA TA
    1941
    Tangmere Aerodrome
    1942
April - 310 Battery 89th LAA Regt RA. December - Canada
    1943
    310/89 LAA Regt RA
    1945 and 1946
136 Field Regt RA, SEAC Burma. 31 Reinforcement Camp, SEAC.
RA Depot, Deolali, India. No.9 Section, 21 Reinforcement Camp, SEAC.
HQ Movement Control, South Burma. Chenfur Station, India.
Rangoon Burma. Bangkok Siam. Calcutta, Bombay India.
I'm going to add photos and pictures of some of the other items.

The map shows Oxfordshire/Midlands Land Aerodromes in 1940. They're all on canvas and not paper maps. I've got maps of S.coast of England to go with it.

Great photos and thanks for sharing. 136 Field Regt RA was part of 7th Indian Division and he probably joined division in Burma through Rangoon somewhere after it was captured in May 1945. After the end of war, 7th Indian Division was sent to Bangkok in Siam.

Are you sure that those photos were taken somewhere in SEAC? 136 Field Regt RA, as far as I know was equipped with 25 pdr and also uniforms seems wrong. For me it look like there were taken somewhere in UK but I could be wrong.

While you waiting for some more info here one story which could be interesting to you. It isn't connected with your grandfather but he probably had similar experience while he was in India (31 Reinforcement Camp, SEAC, and RA Depot in Deolali are also mentioned in the story)
