ALL RANKS (GREEK & BRITISH) WORKED OT LOWER ENEMY MORALE AND HAD BIG EFFECT ON GERMAN O.R.s WHO WERE GREATLY IMPRESSED BY GENERAL GOOD HEALTH & SPIRITS OF PRISONERS AS COMPARED TO THEIR OWN BADLY FED TROOPS (COSCHINO, PSITO ON ISLAND GENERALLY. MARCH- MAY 1945)

WHEN GERMANS CAPITULATED, I WAS PART OF THE BRITISH-INDIAN ESCORT ACCOMPANYING FORMER CAPTORS TO THE M.E., AND MANY ATTEMPTS WERE MADE (ESPECIALLY BY GERMAN OFFICERS) TO SPREAD PROPAGANDA TO THE EFFECT THAT TROUBLE WAS IMMINENT BETWEEN THE ANGLO-AMERICAN FORCES & THE RUSSIANS.
