240th (Lowland) Field Company RE

    Based in Coatbridge at the start of WW2 and deployed to France as part of II Corps, would anyone happen to have any information about and/or know any descendants of the following personnel?

    Thank you for this 'Spindrift'. I am currently researching 240th Field Company's time in France, from September 1939 to May 1940, when they were evacuated from Dunkirk. Most of their time was spent in the WW1 tunnels near Hulluch (north of Lens) re-purposing them for a rear headquarters for II Corps. I have graffiti on the walls of tunnels logged from both of these men, and my group - The Durand Group - are in the process of collating evidence of their time there. More info always welcome.
