    Were you specially interrogated by the enemy? (State where, when and methods employed by enemy).

    4. ESCAPES attempted:
    Did yo make any attempted or partly successful escapes? (Give details of each attempt accurately, stating where, when, method employed, names of your companions, wherein when recaptured and by whom. Were you physically fit? What happened to your companions?)

    Whilst on the march from HOHENFELS towards the south, attempted to escape south of REGENSBERG. Hid in straw outside a barn with SG.T ALLENBY 547921 R.A.C. Physically fit except for blisters on feet through marching. Picked up by German soldiers stationed nearby same night & put back on march. Not ill-treated. (Cont.)
    4. Two companions also hit Sgt. SHAW (GORDON HIGHLANDERS), Sgt. McCARA ? (GORDON HIGHLANDERS). Have not heard of them since. I think they succeeded in escaping.
