Can anyone help me with a link to provide info regarding the above unit during WW2, as I have as yet found very little information documented so far. Many thanks....Ben

I should have mentioned that I lost an uncle and my father, who served with this unit in Italy and N.Africa - - Ben

    Hi Ben,

Look on my website and your find the war diary for this unit, and in fact I have a good friend that was in this unit in WW2 and yes at Arnhem too.

    Cheers

Can I also mention the book by Peter Wilkinson called 'The Gunners at Arnhem'....covers the 2nd (Oban) Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery during the fighting.....as well as the 1st A/T Bty and the Light Regiment.

I've got 10 copies for sale all signed by the author who in 1944 was in the Light Regiment....please contact me if interested....

Tom, I notice from your site, you dont have too much info on the 10th Bn War Diaries, so these may be of interest to you.

Thankyou TomTAS.......found your site it's great, but as I'm getting older and sillier, having a bit of trouble navigating my way around various sites! Notice you had a mention of an old soldier, by the name of Mills I think, that was actually with 2 Airlanding anti-tank bty.......wonder if he'd like to get in touch with me, have just downloading the only 3 photos I have of my Dad (2 during his servoce time) and perhaps if I can get copies to him, we can start unearthing some info.........can I take the liberty of appointing you as my liaison between him and me? Thanks again for your help.........Ben

I have posted information on your other thread how to apply for service records.
It is best just to post once asking for information as duplicate threads cause confusion:)
