467 LAA Bty became independent on the disbandment of 141 LAA Regt RA in Gibraltar in March 1944 and went to North Africa. It remained independent until disbanded in Italy at the end of October 1944.

There is a war diary which starts on arrival in Messina on 1st/2nd Jun 1944 and ends with the disbandment on 28 Oct 44. - I have this.

The question - where was the battery during March April and May 1944? Pointers gratefully received.

I thought I had replied to your post Steve - overtaken by events, the thread you point to is one I have also been involved in, this was an attempt to draw the eye by using the title of the battery in the heading of the thread. All attempts to locate the battery's whereabouts in North Africa following leaving Gib at end Feb 44 to arrival in Sicily in Jun 44 have failed. My best guess is that it was, like many others, in concentration somewhere awaiting its next move.
