In 1941-42, 47 Div were sitting in IV Corps reserve in the north of Sussex, mostly West Sussex and therefore out of my area of interest, but I do have parts of the Div 'G'/'GS' diaries for 1941-42 if you need a look-up... The death of the Div Cmd, Maj.Gen. C.C. Malden, mentioned in the orbat links posted above was due to a beach mine explosion at Shoreham; a Brig. W.P.A. Bradshaw (140 Bde) was seriously injured but appears to have still managed to be acting GOC for a few weeks. - Pete
