    Hi Rickles23,

All I can say at the moment is that 485 Flotilla is almost certainy a RN Landing Craft Flotilla and the photo would seem to show the crews of all vessels in the Flotilla.
Can you explain the context and what it is you hope to discover?

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
This was a photograph I found in Dad's ditty box.

Usually dad would write on the back to explain the where is and what is.

But the back is blank so I assume it could be a friends squadron or one he was just joining.

I know he was in Rangoon at the end of the war getting refugees out in Landing Craft.

    Regards

    Hi,
It looks like 485 Ancillary Flotilla only existed for a short time.

Formed around the middle of October 1945 and disbanded in February/March 1946.

Location given was Singapore. They were equipped with 14 LCM Mk 1.

    Regards

    Danny

Hi my dad is in this picture he's in third row between the 3rd an 4th officer I'm afraid I don't know any more than that as he never spoke about the war and has now sadly passed away
