    (continued)

    8. Have you any other matter of any kind you wish to bring to notice?

I should like to recommend GERENIA DELLA MONICA, FARINDOLA, PROV DE PESCARA, ITALY, for some form of recompensation. This man fed S/Sgt STIPLING & ,self for many moths whilst free in ITALY & did all in his power to assist us. I am indebted to him to the extent of approx 3,000 lire loaned to me. I wrote him a chit of some length for him to present to BRITISH authorities. This man would be useful in as much he knows all the men in the area who were active Fascisti & working for Germans.

    8. Cont.
I would also like to recommend R.S.M. PEAPLE, Camp Leader at P.G. 59 for his work in the camp. He handled the Italians in the right manner when they trie dot interfere with Red Cross issues. Was ????ed at one time for telling the Commandant that he would be a prisoner one day. Apart from his strong line with the detaining power he worked hard in the general interests of the Camp.
