    There is a reference in Wisden to both of them...

    ...albeit the reference to "Alick" being "killed on the beaches of Normandy" is a little inaccurate, as the 24L had moved in land, by the date of his death, and there are differing accounts, one saying that he was kia by a sniper, another that he was actually killed when a mortar fragment landed on his tank.

    As a possibility, in the collage below, either the top right individual or the bottom right individual might, perhaps, have been Alick Poole. In comparison with the pictures of his brother, taken from the posts above, I'd hazard a guess at the top right individual (below) having been Alick Poole...
