    His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to confer the Military Cross on the undermentioned Officers and Warrant Officers in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the Field :—
    Temp. Capt. Arthur George KENCHINGTON, E. Kent R.
    For conspicuous gallantry. When ordered to clear up a crater area, the craters being held in strength by the enemy, who resisted for 1 1/2 hours, he completed his task successfully, all the enemy being either killed or taken prisoners. Later in the day he consolidated a strong point in the captured position.
