A decent pair of walking boots?

May be a general thing. Ross seems to be having the same issue in his latest post:

I’m sure the IT wizards are on the case. ;)

I had a go at posting a photograph in your St Piran's day thread Martin. Guess I am getting the same "error" message graphic as you and Ross.

What a pain in the proverbial!

Kind regards, nothing to see here, always,

    Jim.

Update on my 2022 praise of Hanwag.

Magnificent. No leaks, so comfortable to wear despite one foot deforming further. Resoled before too far worn down. Cost over £100 because only one recommended UK resoler. I have learned the same resoler is the only recommended one by another boot manufacturer. Exactly the same tread soles fitted as orginally. Had to wait several months for them to be returned but that was flagged by them up front. German brand but stitched in Croatia then.

I have a pair that look like those, from Dune. They’re probably not built to last like the good old days, but I love ‘em.

Weird thing, though, is that whenever I put them on I want to take on the Afrika Korps.

Jim, this is my intended post from yesterday - it really wasn’t worth waiting for, was it.:lol:

Always worth the waiting Martin, but always.

I had my French version on yesterday for a hobble in the sunshine :)

Dearest daughter number one calls them "cheat boots" foremostly, and on occasion "dad's Steve McQueen slippers".

Hmmmm. "Cheat boots". I've no idea why :)

Like me Martin they are a few years old!

Not sure if they make that sort anymore. They have, to keep in business, changed over the years. No bad thing if it keeps them going.

They are decent comfortable casual boots. Not a patch on Lowa's; different horses for different courses and all that.

Kind regards, if said style still available probably a shocking price, always,

    Jim.

Some not bad prices there, tbh. Have saved the link to my favourites for a shufti later. ;)
