A question about a news flash in the book The Longest Day

Hello, everyone!
This is an excerpt from the famous nonfiction novel The Longest Day.
What does the abbreviation "NYK" above mean? Or is it just a non-sense word in a casual practicing?

Could it be "Network"

 

States bulletin reached US could it be New York

 

I agree, this site says that NYK meant “New York, New York” and was in the list of abbreviations of the US Navy during that time period

It's a radio station call sign, I do believe.

Or "Nippon Yusen Kaisha"

 

It seems it’s a little hard to figure it out certainly in the context.

Seen in the past for NOT YET KNOWN, usually in Remarks on logs and signals, eg, LOC OF NOK NYK or VEH TYPE NYK. Perhaps doesn't fit readily with context here, but ......
