A question about a news flash in the book The Longest Day

    Hello, everyone!
    This is an excerpt from the famous nonfiction novel The Longest Day.
    What does the abbreviation "NYK" above mean? Or is it just a non-sense word in a casual practicing?

    Seen in the past for NOT YET KNOWN, usually in Remarks on logs and signals, eg, LOC OF NOK NYK or VEH TYPE NYK. Perhaps doesn't fit readily with context here, but ......
