This firm has been sponsoring some programmes on the Military Channel over the last few days and makes me think of you knowing your lust from tanks Anyway....Enough waffle, here you go DeAgostini | The Combat Tanks Competition | Home
Notice how hard it is to find a solid price on that site. I'm guessing the usual '50p for issue one' followed by 'Eight quid each for the next 400 issues, as popularised by so many part-works. Or am I just a smidge cynical...
This series came out in France about 3/4 years ago. I bought the first one as it was only about 1€, and I thought it worth that just for the Tiger I, which even in Feldgrau was quite good. I kept an eye on some of the others and many were quite disappointing.
It is normally always the same. A nice little introductory offer and a good first product. Then comes the never ending articles. I just have to look in the window of our local Karstadt store which usually has lots of magazines with scale models attached. If you need a ready made 1/72 tank, then dragon have a splendid selection of WW2, which are relatively cheap and look the part. Regards Tom
As I'm from Wiltshire I think I prefer this one. Tractors and the World of Farming Magazine - Collect classic farm vehicles and discover country life and agriculture I can't read And I can't write But that don't really mat 'er Cos I come from a Wiltshire town And I can drive my trac 'or Ooo Arrr!
I saw the TV ads for that one. I kind of hoped there was a market for sprogs to collect models of 'Case Axial Flow Combine Harvesters' rather than F*me Acade*y type tat .
