A follow up to my last post in Italy under the heading Operation Husky, 32 and 33 Beach Bricks.

I am trying to follow the RASC 404 transport platoons attached to bricks 32 and 33 formed around the 2nd Battalion The Highland Light Infantry and the 1st Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders - both I understand operating under the 5th Infantry Division, 13 Corps, 8th Army.

The only reference in the RASC 404 Coy diary is to troops leaving in April for training and returning in August - with a passing reference to occasional visits to them by officers - but they are not covered by the Coy diary.

Any suggestions please as to the relevant diaries for the day to day activity between May and August
1943, hopefully covering training, movements and action.

I have looked at Archives documents but most refer to planning, organisation and assessment rather than the day to day war diary entries I am looking for.

    Many thanks Brian
