I would like to make a 1/35 scale model of a British air raid siren, any idea where I can get the dimensions to build a model.

    Tripod or municipal?

Tripod is small and municipal is 3 phase and usually attached to a building.

There were some big ones around in WWII. I've heard of a German model powered by a DB601 V12.

Can't find a reference for that one at the moment but found this cold war era V8 driven model. I imagine Britain had similar ones.

I remember these sirens being used in the 50s to call out the Fire Brigade.

Yes timuk, they are the ones, they were left over from the war, and I need to find the dimensions.

There is a little on size in the link under 'Comparative sizes of sirens'. It's not much but it may help if you're really stuck.
