While out with my daughter, picked this up in the local toy shop. It's a nice catalogue, which reminds me of the ones I used to get every year in the 70s and 80s (still have them somewhere). They certainly seem to be doing well, and have a large number of kits coming out this year, including re-issues, brand new stuff and material bought from others - including the old JB Models range of vehicle kits in 1/76th which are now owned by Airfix. They are also re-issuing some of the old 'battle sets' and the Multipose WW2 kits, which were a great favourite of mine. See: Plastic Scale Models The Official Airfix Website
What a coincidence, I was checking out Airfix's site last night too. Looks like they're now in good hands with Hornby with c.100 new releases/re-releases scheduled for this year.
Its nice to see that Airfix are still going!! And I also discovered that Revell took over Matchbox kits and have reissued them too.
I agree, it is nice to see they're still going. My mate said that Airfix had stopped trading. Then on Xmas day I got a d-day airfix set with loads of vehicles. Still only half way through building 'em. Reminds me of my younger days. haha.
Hornby is just up the road from me and they were very excited at buying the Airfix brand and even had a piece in the paper when they had all the goodies delivered. I'm rather hoping they'll re-release the old polyprop models, much easier for the youngsters.

Yes it was those, the boxes of 1/72nd soldiers and an Airfix book about wargaming which got me into gaming as a lad. They certainly held up to rigourous play.
