While battling the boredom of CV lockdown by looking through some of my files, I came across these diagrams showing the location of Allied forces in the Mediterranean theatre in February and April 1944 which I thought may be of interest.
Very good. Not sure what's going on with 4th Ind Div in February, mind you. Your first sheet has their composition as 5, 7, 9 & 11 Indian Infantry Brigades. To the best of my knowledge, 9 Indian Infantry Brigade was never under 4 Ind Div - they were with 5 Ind Div (and in Burma by this time). 5 Indian Infantry Brigade was originally 9th (Jhansi) Infantry Brigade from Merut, but that was before the war. Odd. Edit: For February 1944 alone 9 Indian Infantry Brigade was with 7 Ind Div, but, again, in Burma.
