Astute members, particularly those who have been posting on this forum for some time, may have noticed the plethora of postings that I have made in the past week or so.

You need to know that since I lost my better half i have looked to fill my week with activities that get me out of the house every day and I am pleased to report that this seems to works out fine for me.

What I didn't expect however, is that whenever the country is smitten with bad weather or half-term holiday's occur everything appears to close down and all my well laid plans go to nought.

Fortunately for me this lovely forum is always there for me, hence my glut of postings.

Just thought I ought to explain............

Ron, never apologise for a glut of postings - one man's glut is another's bounty. I don't get on here as much as I used to, or as much as I'd like, but I always look for your posts. Many thanks for all the material you've put on here and long may it continue....

    Ron,

It is always good to see your posts. It is even better that you are living your life to the full, and I completely understand about not going out in bad weather and during school holidays, we (my Mum and I), avoid doing that as much as possible too.

    Take care, keep posting.

May your postings continue. Do you recall me telling you, how, my very young Grandson always looks for Ron's posts first? He is the youngest member of my family. Always keen to discuss history.
Why is it that , other members of my family think it a waste of time to even bother to purchase books, or discuss the events of ww11? They say it is all in the past. We have to have world peace. I would appreciate your comments Ron. So I hope the weather does not improve just yet.

Ron, It won't come between myself and other members of my family.
So I would love to tolerate your offerings. Your view might just give me a little ammunition!! Re. Family.
The weather is to be appalling over the next couple of days. You should be indoors, next to your computer keyboard. Giving up your offerings.
    Veronica.

    Ron,
Keep posting to your hearts content. It’s always a pleasure to read your posts and as you’re one of the few remaining veterans it makes them that much more special.

While thanking you for your good wishes I would remind you that our delightful (and so knowledgeable) member Harry Ree is 99 years old and hopefully well on his way to reach that goal first !

    I don't think he is.
That's not his real name & I think he chose the RAF's birthday as he's ex-RAF.

It seems as if you are fated to be my nemesis !

I shall wait to see if Harry himself can explain his position (and possibly his correct age) to me, possibly via a pm ?

What I don't retract however. is calling him knowledgeable and I still bow to his appreciation of ww2 matters.

Ah! Thanks for that, Owen - but "our" Harry is extremely knowledgeable and a vital part of the Forum, so keep on, both of you!
