Just saw this new figure on Ebay and thought I'd post it here. The detail looks amazing and should 'paint up' a treat! I can feel an early XMas present coming on!! The Ebay item No. is: 160383886382
This manufacturer has now released four figures (including the original 'PIAT Gunner') and a diorama base to depict an "Arnhem" scene. It's all in 120mm scale and I think it will look superb if it's done right!
Looks like a superb project for someone a little more skilled than me! Painting those faces and cam patterns in 120mm would be a nightmare.
I wouldn't want to spoil them by trying. Something's been niggling me about them: don't the berets look a bit too well shaped for 1944? Other than that, I raise my hat to the sculptor.
You're probably right about the berets mate, but as you say, other than that, the sculptor (Maurice Corry) has done a brilliant job! I have to admit that I've bought the four figures and I'm just waiting for the base to arrive. The thing is, I haven't built any kind of model for years now and I'm a bit nervous about 'getting back in the saddle' with these four! I've done a couple of 120mm "Arnhem" paras in the past and some 1:35th scale ones as well (see 'Get your kits out') but that was a LONG time ago!! All the best .........
