As a Grenadier Guardsman my 6 months public duties was spent on Whitehall, consisting of about 20 or so concrete pillboxes based mainly around the bottom of statue/monuments, ok, but one post in particular was looked to be avoided "Big-Ben" 3/4up a Bren-Gun position covering to the right Westminster bridge "to" left W/square. The curse being no real off/guard sleep, every quarter Bing-Bong-Bing-Bong despite the issued ear plugs and mufflers. bob90:huh::huh:
