Im going to the 101st Airborne Division re-enactment days on saturday.
I believe Mr Ton Carpenter is flying over in a Dakota so it has a touch of "Arnhem".:)

It is still surprising the allure of the Market Garden operation has on people, I am still fascinated with the Medical input of the battle and thanks to writers like Niall Cherry has given me a better understanding of what the RAMC achieved in such awful conditions.:poppy:

Do you have a copy of Stan's Story? It's about the wartime service of Stan Hope who was in 16PFA - he was killed at the road bridge and the efforts of a relative to find out what happened?

I'm going Friday through Sunday, staying at the Paasberg Hotel, Ede.

By the way, after a number of phone conversations with the tourist office at Ede I've established something that isn't documented on the internet.
On Saturday morning there ARE shuttle busses from Ede-Wageningen station to the Ginkelse Heide.

Jonathan Ball It's a way of life.

Seems as good a place as any to ask the following..

Is it still possible to reach the top of the Church Tower in Driel? Just wondering if in passing I might be able to?

Sometimes its open to public, not always, just have to take your change on it.
