    I wish I did.

One can only hope it's gone into store.

    Stolpi,
    Please keep us posted.
I can contact Terry Copp of the Canadian Battlefield Foundation to see if he can help.
Alternatively, the QOR association may also want to get involved.

Cosen's Sten gun was retrieved and now occupies a position of honour in the Sergeants’ Mess of The Queen’s Own Rifles in Moss Park Armoury, Toronto.

Canuck, thank you for the tip.

After having searched in vain for some time for a picture of the Sten gun on the net, today, WW2Talk member Randy aka 17thDYRCH, most kindly, went over to Moss Park Armoury, Toronto. He took some photographs of Cosen's Sten gun and the medalls which are on display at the Sergeants' Mess and sent them over to me.

Looks like the gun is silver plated ... ? Unfortunately, as DYRCH told me, the Sergeants' Mess at Moss Park is a rather dreary room with poor lighting. That, coupled with the glass case does not make for great photos. The flash light made the text unreadable. Can anyone decipher the text?

Cosens' medalls. With the VC to the left. Can anyone ID the others?

    Bravo Randy!

We have these private little museums across the land. A real treasure trove.

    Glad to be of assistance.

The plaque is again on the Mooshof, I saw today. It is on the same wall (south west side) as before, but the position is different; it is now on the far right, so closer to the road side. The renovation seems to be finished, still nobody appears to live there. I had to go around a temporarily fence to get a closer look to the plaque. It is in excellent condition so it has been well cared for. Next time I'll bring a camera and make a photo, it's only a 5 min drive from where I live.

    JanW,

    Excellent!
    Very good news indeed.

I visited the site with Stolpi during my tour in 2012. Very nice that the German owner ( I assume German ownership ) has restored the plaque on the original wall.

    Cheers from Canada
