Margaret McCormack, born 1924 in Rugby, was in the ATS at Bicester but I have no idea what she may have been doing or when she went there. In 1939 she was in Rugby and working as an Aircraft Inspector, possibly at Baginton near Coventry.

I know the MOD still hold the service records for WW2 but I am not sure if Margaret’s service would be included.

I would like to find out more about the operations at Bicester and her involvement and hope someone can help me with this.

    Thank you and stay safe.

There is a mention about the ATS and Bicester here:
    Link: BBC - WW2 People's War - ATS Auxiliary Territorial Service(Part 2)

    Then a little more:
Link: Pastscape - Detailed Result: GRAVEN HILL DEPOT

Though the focus is on the military railways @ Bicester, this website has a mass of information: MOD Bicester Military Railway

The ATS fulfilled many roles as a uniformed service within the British Army.
