    Good morning

My father, Benjamin Walsh, joined the RAF in March 1941 and was then posted as a sergeant pilot to 418 Squadron, Bradwell Bay, in August 1942. They move to Ford in March 1943. He was posted to the Far East in September 1943 having converted from Boston Intruders to Mosquito FB VI. From September 43 through to October 44 he flew with 27, 45 and 82 Squadrons in India. In October 45 he rejoined 45 Squadron and continued flying operations with them from Kumbhirgram, Assam until the end of the war. He completed 75 ops. In his log book and photo album he listed 87 pilot friends and colleagues who died. There were two heavy periods of loss, 418 squadron and 45 squadron.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has knowledge of these squadrons since I am researching my father's war.

    Regards

    Jeremy Walsh
