    Cruelty to broomhandles!

C96s, being, of course (in plain form), one of the best looking guns, improving the look from caddish officers to Albanian legionnaires.

I mean, you can't always carry a Nordenfelt or bayonet-fitted Lanchester.

I have a story about one of them. During a well known Youtuber's visit to Shrivenham myself, the Youtuber and a couple of others managed to get into their small arms collection (as you can see here). At the end of the visit we were all allowed to pick one gun to cuddle, and have our pictures taken with. My colleagues went for the usual collection of Wudnerwaffe and famous guns, FG-42's, MG42's etc. Me being a Briton of class, taste and refinement went and fished out the Lanchester, I grabbed it off it's hook and nearly dropped the bloody thing... It is bloody heavy.

Did a half-day visit to the "sheds" @ Shrivenham in 2018, it took time to book a slot and they asked for a voluntary contribution to cover the visit. Did the artillery and tanks collection plus the small arms. Amazing and some weird stuff seen in each..
