Hi All, Are there suggestions please of where to source original patches and badges from? Looking for RAC, 43rd Wessex Infantry Regiment Wyvern, Essex Regiment cap badge and purple triangle in the attached pictures. Ideally looking for 2 of each. I’ve seen some on eBay but not 100% sure they’re originals. So any tips for checking they are would also be appreciated. Thanks, Matt.
I would recommend a seller called Robin McGregor who holds regular auctions of guaranteed genuine cloth badges. I have no connection with him other than that I have bought the odd cloth badge from him over the years.
Try Geoff Newman militaria or Quartermaster's Store - both good dealers. I have purchased from both. You will have no trouble with the 43rd badges and the Essex cap badge but the triangle regimental flash will be very, very hard to find. I have collected for decades and never seen an example. Happy to check anything for you before you purchase. Enjoyed seeing the photo here - quite a scarce combination to see on a BD.
