Captured this pic in russian edition of Erich von Manstein memoirs: never seen or read before that Bren Carrier were used by our troops.
Some info on RKKA website, no photos as yet. Lend-Lease Tanks, general info Total of 351 were sent to USSR. Odd, this page says, Universal Carrier 2560 (incl. 1348 from Canada) IV. Lend-lease tanks
From here: Engines of the Red Army in WW2 - Universal Carrier Mk.I The »T53256« in the Kursk salient prior to »Zitadelle«, June 1943 The »T78987« with Boys AT rifle installed and Bren Gun The »T53680« in winter whitewash camouflage
I am slightly afraid my comment comes too late to be interesting, but some of Universals survived even as operational vehicles in frontline units of Red Army and were photographed during final stage of liberation of Czechoslovakia in May, 1945.

I had no idea they could be that good One thing that always irks me is models of WW2 vehicles laden with rust. Heck, most vehicles wouldn't last long enough to gain rust!
