    i am looking for info about my 2 uncle,s both were in the 2 world war,
    both served with the royal inniskilling fusiliers i know some info on 1 of them,
    john brennan number 6979708 p o w number 12301 no other details.
    thomas brennan i know nothing about him only that he was in a new
    mortor platoon in 1939 in catterick camp,his body never came home but,
    he is not down as dead anywhere,all i have been told is his mother
    recieved a letter and a photo of a grave yard with white cross,s in it.
    the inniskilling museum could not help @ i don,t know where to go or
    what to do

    What is the name of the parents and the town they lived in during the war.

    John Brennan's last camp was Stalag XXB at Marienburg.

    thomas,s dad was called thomas @ his mum was called mary 'nee'eslar
    the whole family came from liscolman ,dervock,ballymoney,co.antrim.
    his d o b is 2 july 1919 many thanks for your help,as i have said the family
    know nothing of him or his army life.

    thanks again for that as far as i know he has not been put down as dead,
    but as i said the family got a letter and photo to say he was, very odd indeed, know one can confirm any thing about him just his regiment

    thanks 52ND AIRBORNE the family did hear that he died in italy,so he could
    have moved from the inniskilling,s to the ordnance corp.
    2 ques 1 how to find out more about this soldier
    2 what job where they doing at this time i.e [the ordnance corp]

    Thanks, Clive, I did see it was an old thread. Just happened to pop up in a search I did. I have ordered Thomas's death cert. I did notice a Sapper was killed/died the same day buried at Naples. May not be connected but will know more from the cert. Irritatingly I noticed an entry on Ancestry the day after I left it.
