Good Evening all, I hope you are all well and had a nice Remembrance Sunday. I would like to share with you a project me and my brother have been working, We took interest in a British Defence WW2 Gun Emplacement Located in Henfield UK. The Gun Emplacement located at Bulls Inn Henfield, is had been lost to nature until 4 years ago when me and my brother restored the grounds and brought the gun emplacement back to life.We are very lucky that the Pub owner is very happy for to offer the emplacement upkeep. We visit every year on Remembrance Sunday and carry out some ground works. Please see the Youtube link below of a video we made of the first restoration. Since the initial restoration, the Landlord has been trying to find out information about who occupied the gun emplacement, We have tried to find out some information and was hoping we could get some help from anyone who takes a interest in British Defences. Once we get enough information we are going to erect a information board so visitors can read about the history of the emplacement. Information we have so far We know this is one of 2 bunkers, the sister is across the river. The Bunker was built by Ringmer Building Works (written into the concrete) We believe the gun emplacement was manned by No. 1 (H.Q) Platoon, āCā COY., 4th Sussex Battalion, Home Guard. We have a picture (attached) of them and their names are as followed Pte. O. Moore. Pte. R. Tilley. Pte. R. H. Tilley. Pte. F. Woodhams. Pte. A. Porter. Pte. S. Hollands. Pte. R. Morley. L/cpl. W. E. Rogers. Pte. R. Richardson. Pte. A. Brooker. Pte. E. Saunders. M.M. Pte.
