I recently completed this Eduard P-400 (Weekend Edition). It portrays one of the three P-400s that played a pivotal role in the Battle of Bloody Ridge.

Nice one Tom, I like the weathering - it's something I seem to have real trouble with on planes. On a tank you can just cover things in mud... but you don't really get much mud in the air.

Eduard. So presumably quite a bit of etch in the kit?

Looks good! Needing a decent paint job now, this one looks like something my cat ate and then threw up on the carpet :)

Nope. The "Weekend Edition" are simplified kits. No photo-etch, no masks, decals for just one plane. But the quality is very good. This particular model uses the same molds as the Accurate Miniatures kit (or vice-versa).

I like the Weekend Editions because they are often on sale at Squadron for less than 20 bucks.

I also recently built the WE La-7 and have 2 F6F Hellcat WE kits.

This was my first real effort at weathering.
