    hello,
my great grandfather Tomasz Haberka (sometimes the wrong spelling Haberko, Chaberka, Chaberko), born in 27.12.1907, dead in 1972 used to serve as a corporal, mechanicien in Polish Air Force in 1939.
He was in POW camp in Comisani (Romania) - no details.

Do you have further information about this camp?

Is there a place or institution where I could find more information about him and camp in Comisani. Some info I got from Red Cross in Geneve.
    best wishes

I have traveled through Comişani. It is actually is a small farming commune in the Romaniei Judetelor Dâmboviţa (A "României judetelor" is a political district, similar to a county or province) in southern România, now with about 3500 residents. It is 35 km from Ploieşti (Ploiesti), and 65 km to Bucuresti (Bucharest).

In reality it has two subdivisions (villages) one named Comişani and the other named Lazuri.

So, check for information under both village names, and perhaps spell Comişani with and without the Românian "comma-below variant" letter < ş >, which is pronounced as sh as in the English words "sugar" or "shopping."
