    The main barrack/station blocks at the former airfield have now been demolished for a redevelopment of housing, although the 3 hangars still stand. However, maintaining remembrance remains strong in the Town, evident in the addition of 3 seats near the main Memorial:

    Standing out in the list of casualties is the name of Keith, to lose one child in war is tragic, but four must have been unbearable. The parents, Archibald and Margaret died 9 August 1956 and 13 April 1971 respectively.
