Yesterday, I was watching the 1955 film 'The Colditz Story' and noted John Mills playing the character of Capt Reid RASC. So, I located his capture and escape report (6 pages) from my files and thought I would share with the group. Regards Bruneval
A very interesting comprehensive record of the escapes to freedom which when I have time I will work through the escape routes. I note another important feature is the report circulation list....MI 9..6 copies for lecturers...very important to indicate to those to be engaged in operations against the enemy of the lessons learnt by those who had made successful runs home after capture and escape...experience feedback creating forewarning for others following in the same footsteps.
By chance I watched this film yesterday as well, so this is great as a follow up! Finally got the family to play the board game last week as well.
