    Need a bit of help deciphering the word in the picture

    It's HMS COPRA. Combined Ops Pay and Drafting at Largs Scotland. Doesn't mean he was there it is where his records were held. Similar to the later entry of HMS ODYSSEY, also an Accounting Base. He will have been on Combined Ops, Landing Craft etc where they didn't have their own Records/Pay section.

    With the Plymouth listed at the bottom, does that mean he was actually at Plymouth (Stonehouse)

    It certainly means his records were held at Stonehouse Barracks and quite probably he spent time there, whether this was for the whole period Sep 45 - Sep 46 is impossible to tell. Very difficult if not impossible to tell from this record exactly where he was serving although 'Odyssey' strongly indicates involvement in D-Day.
    In case you haven't worked it out HBL RMTG is Home Based Ledger Royal Marine Training Group. RN Museum has this definition RMTG Royal Marines Training Group (c1942-46) usually one of four camps in Wales

    That’s fantastic thanks for the info and your quite right he was at Gold beach on D-Day
