    BBC News: Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac previously Christine Perfect of Chicken Shack has died aged 79.
    Married John McVie Bass player with John Mayalls Bluesbreakers then Fleetwood Mac.

    Chicken Shack originally from Stourbridge Worcestershire.

    This was my age of music. Emerging from the folk clubs to Blues. Chicken Shack, Spencer Davis Group, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy. Carl Wayne & the Vikings, The Night Riders,The Idle Race, The Move.
    Midland College Dances to clubs then Concert Halls.Kidderminster Town Hall, The Ritz Kings Heath, Handsworth Plaza, Led Zep at Mothers Erdington.Henry's Blues House Station Street Birmingham. Earth later Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull rammed the place. Barbarella's to see Queen and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Birmingham Town Hall. Count Basie Buddy Rich Band to Manfred Mann, Nigel Kennedy.

    The people around me played them a lot when I was in high school. I was never a fan of the band, but between Christine and Stevie Nicks I will take Christine every time. I'm sorry she's gone, it's another link with the past severed.

    I suppose it's an age thing. In my mind, She was Chicken Shack.

    Fleetwood Mac was and to me at any rate and always will be Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie
    Jeremy Spencer came and went as did Danny Kirwan.
    Once Peter Green went that was the end, as far as I was concerned.

    Mick Fleetwood formed another band along with John McVie and his wife Christine.

    Rest in Peace, Chritine McVie. Sadly missed by so many. A wonderful voice from long off days.
