In case it's of interest, I have just published the edited diaries of my grandfather's diaries from WW2. It's called "Churchill's Colonel: The War Diaries of Lt Col Anthony Barne" The book is available at selected Waterstones, WH Smiths and, of course, Amazon. I have received a huge amount of help from various contributors to WW2Talk and would like to say a very sincere thank you to all who have taken the time to help... With best wishes Charlie Barne
Thanks Chris, really kind All royalties are going to Walking With The Wounded who help support vulnerable veterans integrate back into society All best Charlie
Charlie, I've bought a good number of Pen & Sword books and have grown fed up with their dull and repetitive artwork, but I have to say you've fared much better: that's a splendid cover image and a very nice layout/scheme. Looks very promising.
James. I bought a copy this afternoon. I will tell you what it was like when I have read it. Arrives tomorrow. F
I really appreciate the feedback. If I'm honest I felt the same about P&S books but have been delighted with the design of the cover and they've been extremely reasonable to deal with... All best
Was just doodling about on the internet when i came across the book on Kindle at the much reduced price of a fiver. Couldn't resist the urge to add it to my books about the 4th Hussars and was touched to read my name (and this site) in the acknowledgements. Well done Charles ! Ron
Charles. I really enjoyed it. I am currently following 4 QOHs during the Final Offensive of Apr 45. Regards Frank
