I am sorry if I haven't posted in the correct forum.

I wondered if someone could assist. I am researching the motor launch Advance, which took part in the Dunkirk Evacuation, twice. I have the Ministry of War Transport List which lists her duties both before and after Dunkirk. The RAF commandeered the boat from 28/5/1940 for " various duties." The final date for her still under the RAF, is 23/6/1941, when she is listed as " total loss."

I can not find what happened on that date. Grateful for any suggestions where I should look next. I have contacted RAF Hendon Museum but as of yet, received no reply.

    Kind Regards

    Mike
