Concentration camp 1945

    I believe that German pows in the UK in 1945 were told to watch a film about the concentration camps.

    But a google search states: "In 1945, the British government commissioned German Concentration Camps Factual Survey, a documentary using footage from the liberation of camps like Bergen-Belsen and Dachau. Supervised by Alfred Hitchcock, it was specifically intended to be shown to German POWs, but was shelved. Consequently, no official camp documentary was screened to POWs in the UK at that time"

    Can anyone put me right on this, whether a film was shown - or not?

    Thank you - I am now certain that a film was shown, but not the one originally intended; "German Concentration Camps Factual Survey."
