    Hi,

Can anyone please enlighten me what R.I.X. and R.C.X. exercises relate to in convoy terms?

In their context I`ve been looking at a war diary which states:

"Commenced exercises R.I.X, R.C.X. and V/S (Visual Signals) with HMS CAPETOWN until 12:00 then returned to position in convoy and began Z.Z. (Zig-Zag) once again".

Those in brackets I`ve obviously worked out but I`ve been Googling the other two with no luck.

    Many thanks for any help,

    John
