crash card translate

    hi my brother is doing research on davidstow and came across this crash card can anyone help him translate or decode the spagetti writing please

    Although the second image is reasonably clear, the only thing I get from the first one is that there was a fire in the port engine of the Whitley, it was a dark night and the pilot's judgement was at fault.

    06/05/1943 0225hrs Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mark VII EB328 WL-N of 612 Sqdn RAF Davidstow Moor crashed in a field at Weens Farm, St.Kew Highway. The pilot lost control after an engine fire whilst returning from an Anti-Submarine Patrol one member of the crew bailed out and is safe, five were killed.
