    Hi there,
I recently went to the bridge over the Dives River near which Horsa number 4 landed by mistake just after midnight on june 6th 1944 (Captain Priday combat group supposed to capture the Ranville Bridge over the Orne River). This bridge is located about 4 kilometers east of Varaville.
Does anyone have an aerial picture of this specific landed horsa ?
There is no monument, no sign, no commemorative plaque … And I have absolutely no idea where this Horsa landed and I would like to know that.
Thanks a lot for your help !
    Regards

    Hi,

Believe it or not the full story of what occurred there has still to be written. Here's another aerial provided by member Ludo.
