Good morning all, Forces Reunited have been given the opportunity to assist in the recording of interviews with D - Day Veterans for a new documentary for Channel Four. If possible could any Veterans of the D - Day landings, who are willing to be interviewed please contact me asap. The interviews will take place over a 6 week period, starting on 24 Jan 2011, If you are a family member of a surviving veteran and you would like to conduct or supervise our contact with your relative then again please contact me. All personal details of those that wish to participate will be treated with strict confidentiality and will not be passed to any other parties without their express permission. I heard somewhere that Forces reunited tried to take over another Service Site..... Is this true? If so our admin should be very wary of any posts from that quarter.

Sapper, We did enquire with a site owner the possibility of purchasing a site, the site had not updated any information in quite some time and he did not wish to sell so we stopped enquiring. FR is often aproached by other websites who wish to buy FR, its called business, and in an attempt to improve and expand, companies do purchase other companies. And personally I enjoy the WW2Talk website, and would not wish for it to be ran in any other way than the way it is now, by the people who are running it. Now if you would like to keep this post on track it would be appreciated, especially as FR are not making any monies at all with this project but are spending monies to ensure that the memories of our D-Day Veterans (All Services including Merchant Navy) are not lost.
