    Hi all,

Trying to find information regarding my grandfather who was on light anti-aircraft and Lewis Guns (1476251 Gnr. Ronald Charles Tidbury) as I am looking to visit Orkney and various other places where he served around that area.

Does anyone have any information regarding the units in the topic title?

    Any help is much appreciated

    Many thanks in advance

Only as a rough guide looking at the units war diary refs they were formed around Feb 1942 from the 10th Queens Own Royal West Kents. In Sept 1942 they became part of 79 Armd Div and in May 1943 part of 15th Division. This is a Scottish Division so this is probably when he ended up in Scotland. They deployed for France in 1944 with the 15th Division.

Are you sure 377 Battery was part of this regiment as the 377 Battery War Diary ref's have them in the Middle East/ North Africa in 1943 and then Italy in 1944

    Cheers
    Andy
