Did Danny Mason write about his experience? Or did anybody record his recollections? If not - this is the chance to do it...

 

If you look at the 2 links he has been recorded by the Imperial War Museum

he mentioned to me that he was wounded

CL1 - Do you know him personally? Wouldn't it make sense to ask him about Varsity? I would have a few questions - if he's up for it...

 

I dont know him but if i bump into him on Rememberance Sunday i will chat more
He stated he was one of the first to jump and dropped from a Dakota

There is no sign of an IWM Sound Archive on their website. It appears he spoke to the IWM and that has been used alongside the exhibition.

what do you think: Would he be willing (and still be able) to be interviewed and would you maybe like to do it? I am interested in his story because he jumped on DZ A and saw action in the immediate area where I grew up - in Bergerfurth.
