I believe I have posted both of these items before but on the 75th Anniversary it seems only appropriate to post again. The DDay Statement that was given to Allied Expeditionary Forces as encouragement for those who were taking part in the invasion. And sometimes unfortunately the ultimate price that must be paid so that freedom can endure. Frederick Davis was an Uncle who survived the invasion but was killed on 6/20 when the Germans counterattacked. He is buried at Omaha Beach and I have been lucky enough to be able to pay my respects.
