Having not put paint brush to plastic for quite a few years I thought it was time I finished a couple of kits I had lying around. Having always worked with 1/35 scale in the past it was very enjoyable to try a bigger scale as it allowed greater freedom when it comes to figure painting. Since finishing it I realise there are a couple of errors. Shouldn't have painted a buckle on the torque and the gas cannister should have been finished in dark feld grau. I still have the 'Wiking' figure to tackle but the Dot pattern uniform he is wearing might be a problem.
DG, It looks good and may concider some figures in that scale for my Tiger I. Just a pity that my local model shop has closed as Marcus always had a good selection of 1/16 figures. Regards Tom
If I ever found the time I would love to do an Aredennes scene with either a Tiger or King Tiger. Check this out. Not the Ardennes, but Kursk Russia if the insignia is anything to go by. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/modelling/29554-tiger-i-diorama.html Regards Tom
Thanks guys. Now I have a Dot pattern uniform to copy from I think I will get round to tackling the other figure.
