I expected these to be concrete rather than metal and pointy. Is the term used for both?

 

I think the metal and pointy bits are anchored in Lumps of concrete.

 

. Dragons Teeth still in place on the Dorset coast. Concrete but without metal spikes, although the spikes may have been removed at some point.
