Anybody got a picture or other information about the 78 or more trucks that had World War 1 naval guns mounted on them and given anti-tank duties during 1940?

    Hi, FMA.
Any further info on which gun or which Lorry might help.

Only initial thought is of the 4 Inch carriers:
    WW2Talk - 4-inch mobile guns
But they were built in a mere handful.

The Bedford 'Ironside' springs to mind too, but not a Naval armament:

Incidentally, the Tank Museum now has a Beaverette, and their latest "Tank Chat" is about the vehicle.

I know, not armoured... but it could be!
And extemporised to a truly magnificent degree.

What type of gun is that in the turret, assuming it is a gun?

Doesn't look look a gun when enlarged. I wonder what it is.

    Dual Vickers mount?

You see them with a Bren too, but not usually in that strange open turret.
Pretty sure it's an MG mount anyway. @VickersMG would know more.
