Hi Tony - can I suggest that the original list be updated to show which photos are still outstanding.

I might already have some of the those still required - I haven't catalogued all of my shots as I mainly focus on RAAF images but in many cemeteries I just photograph every military headstone I see.

Otherwise I can get off my backside and chase up any required in my part of Queensland. I can also tap into quite a few volunteers interstate. Some of the small towns that are way off the beaten track are proving problematical but most larger towns have some sort of coverage.

    cheers

I HAVE TO BOW MY HEAD IN SHAME: Somehow I missed your post and have only just discovered it and I am most grateful for your input.
I am also embarrassed as I have discovered my records for Australia were incomplete as I only had four casualties listed for Aust Army for which I had grave photographs and one Med Service.
It appears that somewhere along the way I must have lost a section of my Australian records.
So more work now to upgrade my Australian records.
    My sincere apologies.
    Tony

A couple of typos on this one – I don’t have the photo but I can chase it down this week. Toowong Cemetery is a bit difficult to get into at the moment; they are digging a huge tunnel under it for a new expressway (Legacy Way). Some of the entrances are closed off as part of the construction work.

I will add her photo to this post shortly.

Spidge – I can’t locate her name on any of the lists, is late 1947 beyond the cutoff??

Brisbane General Cemetery QUEENSLAND (Toowong Cemetery)

    DAVIS, Dorothy, F. - Port 7A. Sec.1946. Allot.8 - should be Davies, Dorothy Frances (7A 194B 8)

Aircraftwoman DAVIES, DOROTHY FRANCES 100629 RAAF / WAAAF of 8 Service Flying Training School - discharged 13 Oct 1944 / died 26 Nov 1947
